Oftentimes, conversations regarding race tend to remain superficial or are confined to audiences well-versed in sociology, history, systemic racism, and privilege. The objective of the Race Cards is to encourage open and genuine dialogues on race in a manner that is easily accessible to all.

The application consists of a collection of digital cards featuring thought-provoking questions like “When did you first become conscious of your race?” and “What interpretations do you associate with the hashtags #blacklivesmatter and #alllivesmatter?” These questions delve into participants’ personal encounters, the current state of justice and race relations in our societies, and perspectives on topics like privilege and equity.

Moreover, the app offers guidance on leading a meaningful conversation while promoting both respect and thought-provoking challenges among participants, all while acknowledging and validating each individual's experiences.

The Race Cards App is specifically crafted for utilization within various small group settings – be it among family members, colleagues, friends, neighbors, members of faith-based communities, or even strangers within a shared community space.
